A Few of Her Favorite Things.

Addison is starting to use a few of her toys finally. She is playing and discovering more! So here are a few Pictures of Addison with her favorite things.
As she grows she does new things every week, so here are a few things that she is doing.



1) She does not want to be rocked too much, she would rather you put her down and let her go to sleep. Which is bitter sweet for me, I love her independence but I miss my little baby who I could rock to sleep.
2) She talks to everyone who will listen! I think she even has an imaginary friend in her room! Because in the morning she will talk talk talk, but to who?
3) She will grab for things.
4) She will grab a hand to chew, and I am not talking about her own.
5) She is teething, that is kinda stressful...
6) If you call her name she will not look, if you say "Punkin" she turns her head. So yes, our fears are true, our baby thinks her name is Punkin!
7) She loves going to the gym and watching the other babies.
8) She is rolling over, but from her back to her stomach. Once she gets over she gets mad! She hates tummy time!
9) She absoutly needs her eight hours of sleep! She is not happy is she is awoke before then! It is so cute, she reminds me of her daddy when she does this! (Jon says I am the same way)
We are blessed with a happy and healthy baby!

Our trip

It was so nice for me to get to know two people that Jon has talked about since we have been married. Those two people were his great uncle Wayne and Aunt Pam. We finally got to go out and see them at their home in Indianapolis. We had so much fun, they showed us a great time! I cant wait to see them agian!

First Flight

We took Addison on her first flight. She was great on the way there, as you can see she started off sleeping. However, her daddy thought it would be good to wake her up and feed her so her ears would pop as we went up. So she was awake for the entire flight. After we got to Indianapolis, she was tired so we laid her down. She slept until we got ready for bed. I told Jon that we should have woke her up so we would be able to sleep. We did end up getting a few hours..........
We had so much fun on our trip! We would love to have stayed!

Sunshine

It is about time that we have had some sunshine around here! It was 80 degrees and we loved it! I bought a stroller on CL for $5.00! I was so glad to have a little one that I could leave out and not worry about it. Getting my wonderful travel stroller out can be a chore for just a quick walk.

Addison is so excited to be a big cousin! Little Jared is here!!!! Congratulations, Josh and Jana!

More Mock Trial

In this picture I am cross examining a expert witness, the doctor. My friends in the audience told me that when I first stepped up there I had a smirk, of "I've got you now" I dont know if I did but it worked out well.

I objected to a piece of evidence and we had to discuss why or why not to let it in.

Mock Trial

Let me say, first I am so glad it is over! I know that Addison and Jon feel the same way.

It was fun however and I learned a lot! We had two cases a civil case and a criminal case.

In the picture is my Partner, Michelle Thompson. She was a great partner we worked so well together. I am so lucky to have had her.

Our little one eats very well! In fact she feeds herself!

Worry

As a new mom, I have stepped into the area of life that many know as worry. It seems as though since she has been here I worry about everything. I remember when she was born I worried about her size, she was so tiny. Now she is three months and wearing a few 6 month outfits, so I think we are fine. Now I worry about her holding her head up. She hates to be on her tummy, which is very important for her to rollover and hold her head up! I think I now know why she does not like tummy time, it is because she cant see everything going on! So using advice from a friend at the gym I started propping her up on my boppy pillow. She does well with it, she can turn her head any way she wants! (But I have to pick up her pillow, because Millie thinks it is another doggy bed)

I can totally hear all of the moms reading this saying, "dont worry" but I think you can all remember and I bet you still worry!

First Easter

We celebrated Easter with our little Addison. She and I went shopping yestorday and got her a big bunny! When we got home she had a little present from Granny and Pawpaw waiting on her! She loved it! (Mommy is loving the chocolate in it!)

When we got home from our little adventure, Daddy was dismayed that we did not buy her a dress. So Daddy said that we would go and get her one. His theory is that little girls need pretty dresses.....I agree!

She may not be aware of what we are doing with her, but we sure are and we are loving every minute of it!

We had a great time with all of our company over the last few months! It has been so special for Addison to be around everyone and meet everyone! I have to say she does get a little spoiled by everyone but she recovers well and gets back in her little routine.

Jon and I are praying that we get through April, we have a lot to get done, in very little time. But we both know if we make it to May and we are home free.......kinda literally! I am counting down the days until I graduate! I can not wait!

Since we had Addison everyone has been asking who she looks like. We never really knew until we saw these pictures of Jon's dad. The first picture is when Jon's dad was a few months old and the second picture was at his first birthday. Of course the last picture is definetly the cutest of them all, our little Addison.

She really needs to make up her mind about what she wants to be! Maybe we should call uncle Robert to find out what kind of Animal is best to be.........

3 Months Today

I cant believe that she is three months today! It seems just like yesterday that we were bringing our little baby home...

We are having so much fun with Memaw and Papaw. Little Addison is getting so spoiled.....

More Company

It was noted last night, that before Addison we did not have very many visitors. However since we have had Addison we seem to have company every other week. Which is great we are so excited that we have people who love little punkin and want to be around her.

Our latest visitors are Memaw and Papaw Matlock. They are really enjoying thier time with Addison. I have to keep my eye on Memaw and Addison, they have a secret language for each other. If Addison makes a peep in her little bed, Memaw has to go in and check on her and Addison just giggles at her new found power. (Her power is that she can talk and memaw runs......)
