Happy Halloween

Addison had a great First Halloween! We spent the day enjoying the fall weather. Then we carved a BIG pumpkin. We were going to go to the pumpkin patch, but we decided that it was a little expensive to go to the pumpkin patch that she would not remember. So we decided to go to a local farmer and buy a pumpkin. We spent a grand total of $8.00 for a pretty big pumpkin!

The Pumpkin before we carved it...

Today we carved the pumpkin. (Daddy did most of the work) Addison loves playing with the pumpkin, she really loves the gooey stuff in the middle!!

Daddy let us choose what he would be carving. We chose the little monster because her name was Bugga Boo, we call Addison that occasionally. So we had to pick that one!

Then we went to Trick-or-treat. We really just want to capture her first experience for trick or treating, we knew she would not care about the candy, but we wanted PICTURES!! So we went to our neighbors house. We have enjoyed our neighbors and getting to know them. We could not ask for any better neighbors!

We had a great Halloween, we cant wait till next year!!

Playtime

Addison is growing so fast!!! While she grows, she is learning so many new things way too fast. She has discovered how to climb in her little chair and stand up in it. It rocked but I took off the rocker parts, thanks to Nana and her idea.

She also LOVES a blow up car that is filled with balls. She inherited this from Lily and Mollie and Aunt Andrea. She loves to do many different things with it, she likes to climb on it or climb in it. She also sometimes goes and gets one ball and brings it to the living room, and then she goes back. She also likes to get in and throw the balls out. So thank you Aunt Andrea, we some how thought you would plan on this happening!

Movie Time

Addison loves a few shows that come on her tv. Ok, maybe two...But lately Baby Einstein is her favorite. She would watch it for the whole day if I let her. Which is crazy for a baby! But we only watch once a day. So for all you wondering about how much TV our little baby is getting, not too much.

Daddy and Addison enjoy a little Baby Einstein.

In this picture you can see the week old bruise. She is getting so mobile now it is scary. This bruise looked much worse before, but it is on its way to getting better. I have been so worried that people who see it would think that we abuse our little baby. But most moms look at her and say that's not the worse to come......and I think "oh great!"

Caught in the Act!

Daddy is well known for his conservative views on what to feed our baby! However, I was walking in the kitchen to find some sneaky behavior........

Jon wanted me to inform certain people that he was teaching her how to eat chocolate cake the "right" way.

Going, Going, Gone

That is what this month is!!!!
This month has been crazy for the Matlock family.....It all started when Addison and I went to AL. We had a great first week, we played with cousins and grandparents. BUT, on the second week things started to get a little rough. Not only were we both missing Daddy (Jon) but Addison also got a stomach bug. NO FUN! So needless to say we spent a few days in the hospital getting her hydrated. I must admit, Jon is the calm one in our family when it comes to people poking our baby!

So we are home now and I am finally settled in. We went today to a Fall Festival at school. Addison wore her Minnie costume. I thought we would be outside, so I layered that poor baby up! She was sweating outside, and it was 40 degrees. So we were a little worried when we arrived and learned it was inside!!!! She was a grumpy Minnie, but still a Minnie!( I tried to give her a nose, but she had other plans. I still managed to get a little one! )She is also cutting more teeth, so with the hot clothes and the hurting mouth anyone would have a right to be grumpy!

Addison wore Shoes for the First time tonight! She did not even bother them!

9 Months

I have a feeling that this is going to be an exciting month for our little lady. She has started mimicking everything we do, which is so fun! We are still in AL, and we miss Jon much. I think that he is missing us as well, especially when he hears about all the things our Addison is getting into.....We have been able to get some really cute photos lately. This one is taken last weekend, there are four generations in this picture! We love having our family closer!
This picture is so sweet! This is Addison with her first little sprig! Aunt Andrea came in grabbed her and had her all fixed up before I could blink! Of course Mollie and Lily helped.
