Happy Easter
This Easter was special! It was the babies first Easter! We wanted to get a family picture. But needless to say we had a few kids who had other ideas.
We had a long day with all of the little ones. It was a fun but loooonnnnngggg day!!! Addison had a great time with all of her cousins! I look forward to many more Easter Days with all of my little ones! What is crazy to think about is that next Easter we will have 3 children running around looking for eggs!
Four Months Old
The babies turned four Months old this week! I can not believe that we have had them that long! They are getting so big! We have been through a lot these last four months but it is getting better and better.

I know this is a strange picture of Sophia but it is something she likes to do! And that is roll over! She will be on the move before I know it...I have mixed emotions on the babies being mobile! Little Sophia has the sweetest personality. When I pick her up, she hold on tight almost as if she is saying, "Dont put me down."
Talon is full of giggles and smiles! He is such a little ham sometimes and I love it! When we got to Dothan Friday night he sat and watched the fan and thought it was the funniest thing he has ever seen! Another funny thing he did on the trip was in the car. While we were on our way back But when he is unhappy he tells you!!!!I turned around to give Addison something, as I looked back I took a peek in on T-Man. He had turned his body in the funniest position so he could see the DVD too! He loves some TV!!
Addison's First Egg Hunt
This year was the first year that Addison hunted eggs! It did not hit me till we were on our way to our friends house to have a little easter egg hunt! I worried a little bit that she wouldent know what to do with the eggs. But she was ready to hunt when we got there. She took off outside and found many eggs. She really did not even need my help!

Hungry?
Why wait?

Apparently Addison doesn't!
And yes, that is a balloon with her. The girl is a nut, that is all one can say about that.
They Keep Growing.....
This morning I went in to check on the babies and found Sophia on her back! Which means she rolled over! I knew it was getting time because she has been holding that little head up looking around! The twins are doing great in their development. As a Mommy of preemies, I worry from time to time how they are doing. My worries are small because they may have been preemie but they were not that "preemie" so I usually do not let the thought linger too long in my little head. However, I am Mommy so it is in my nature to ponder things like development and how they are doing.
(Talon would rather me wait to take his picture after he watches Mickey Mouse!)
We are all recovering from yet another stomach bug, which amazingly neither Jon or I have caught it!!! We want to get over it though so we can head to Nanny and Papaw's House.

Bubbles and Birthdays!
This weekend we went to Birmingham to celebrate Jared's second Birthday. While we were there we took the kids out to play with bubbles. One of Addison's favorite things to do!

It is so neat to see them running and playing together. I know that as they grow up their cousin relationship will only get better and better. Addison is so lucky to have sweet cousins on each side of the family.

Things are looking up.....
When I got up last night with the babies I realized it has been better with the babies. They have started being a little more predictible. Which is great in Mommy land! During the day they take a long nap now and if I plan it correctly they will all nap at the same time even Addison. During that couple of hours I clean or sometimes if it has been a rough day I take a nap. Or if I just want to let my brain rest I watch tv....I know crazy huh? Should be cleaning or doing something else, but I don't sometimes! Some women might find me a little lazy, but I think otherwise. I count on this quiet time to get by some days...I think if I can make it to noon I can have a break. When the house gets quiet, it makes my heart leap for happiness.
I have been working out at the gym and I take all the kids with me on some days. The ladies in there are great with the babies! I was so so so nervous about taking them, so I talked to the ladies before I took them to make sure it would not be a burden on them. They all love our babies! When I walk in they swarm me trying to help us get settled. Usually when we leave one of them asks me how I handle it....I try to say something like..its not that bad. It really isn't as bad as it looks. Sure, I can not do certain things with all the children. Like grocery shopping or any kind of shopping. But if I want to go the gym, or run through a drive thru (it bugs me to mispell this word), I can! I just load them up and make sure I do it at a good time for the babies! I will say one thing, these babies are not big on riding in the car! So sometimes we ride home with everyone crying. Usually when this happens I laugh, what else can I do? And I think, let me make it home...just make it home.
A few things I have learned by having two babies at once.
1) The house is a mess. Its ok.
2) Even when you clean the house it will be a mess in a matter of minutes. Its ok.
3) I dont have time for petty things. There are big things in life, and then there are small things.
4) I have learned to pray without ceasing. Literally. When you catch me talking to myself..it is really to my heavenly Father...
5) I have learned to leave early. If I want to be on time, I must leave early!
6) MULTITASK!
7) Plan...sometimes Jon will ask me what I am thinking about, and my response is "my next move" if I dont know what to do next there will be crying and lots of it.
8) Babies will cry and it is OK! There are three children and one Mommy!
9) Take a min to be by myself. Read, watch tv, or take a nap.I survive on minutes.
10) Love. I love my crazy little family...
There are many more things I have learned but here are first ten that come to mind. I do what has to be done everyday to make sure everyone is happy and healthy. Before I had twins I would worry about what people thought of me as a mother. But now, I could really care less....As long as my children grow up to serve the Lord and love their family, I am happy. And as long as my husband is happy with how our life is, then I am too! As crazy as it gets around here we have a lot of love here for all of our babies! I think I can go through a lot and sometimes I think maybe I can not handle it, but then I see a smile or a giggle or a sweet hug from a little girl and I know I can handle it many years to come.
