The Hairbrush Bit Me!!!!

That is what our little baby was screaming yesterday, right before we left for church. (Of Course it was in baby language) She was playing with a baby hairbrush and the bristles went right into her left eye. She let out the worst noise any momma would hear, and that was the I AM HURT cry. So Jon looked at it once we calmed her down enough to open her eyes, and there it was a corneal abrasion. So we knew she would have to see someone and fast. We had no idea where to take her, which hospital, which doctor? (I saw a pediatrician last week, but needless to say we will most likely not be going back to him, and therefore I was not going to call him with this emergency!) So we called the one person we knew would know who to see! Our neighbor/landlord/friend is who we called and she called one of her friends who happens to be a eye doctor and he came back to his office to see our little baby! He was great, he gave us medicine to put in her eye every four hours. Which was great!!! We were so happy to hear all we needed was this little medicine! However that meant that we had to wake her up every 4 hours, and waking her up in the middle of the night is one thing, but waking her up to give her medicine is bad, really bad.So on top of all of that she also has an ear infection and a mild diaper rash and her teeth are still sensitive. So life as a baby is tough really tough. But other than that she is pretty happy. Here are a few pictures of her playing in our sunroom. We have pretty much made this room a play room for Addison and Mommy! (sorry for the dirty outfit, we just had breakfast and medicine.)
