A few days ago I made Memaw's Yeast rolls for the first time. Trying to make something that is your husbands favorite Memaw recipe can be a bit nerve racking........so you can imagine my anticipation as he took that first bite. Oh that was rough, but they turned out so yummy I decided to expand to something sweet. So Memaws and yes there are two on his side that have taught (teaching) me to make all of his favorite Memaw meals......this one is for you! Too bad I dont have pictures of the blackberry cobbler that Memaw Crawford is still teaching me on..that one is a little tougher but we will get there! I am determined. I just dont think it will be this week. Addison and I are sweet enough for a month or two!
So on Saturday I tried something new.....I turned Memaw's famous yeast rolls into Cinnamon Rolls. I know we are gonna end up waddling if we keep making Memaw's yeast rolls. These things are meant to be eaten during special times, not just because you can. So this week, no chocolate chip cookies, no yeast rolls and no cinnamon rolls. Addison did help in the creation of these yummy things but I failed to get a picture.
Looks Yummy! I need a copy of that cookbook! You're so blessed to have 2 Memaw's! Very disappointed in the no pictures of Addison, but I will let this one slide... Tell that sweet girl her Auntie Loves Her!
ReplyDeleteMan, those cinnamon rolls really look good, I could eat half that pan, and half the bowl of memaw's blackberry cobbler! If I ate like that I'd look like a bowling ball.
