A few other things going on....

I have not been good to update the blog like I should be, so I think I should give a "whats going on" post.

I have been nominated President of the PTO at the primary school. I actually love it. It comes with sooooo much work!!! But I have made friends with the people who spend the day with Addison, from teachers to the principal to the office staff ( who I am pretty sure could have cared less for me before...). It is so nice being able to eat lunch with Addison two or three days a week, and seeing her around school. I actually see kids in the hall who say, "hi Addisons Mom."   She LOVES it!!! I am so happy she loves seeing me there! We have raised a little more than 5000.00 since I started. I am pretty excited about it. The school has not had a PTO in so long, I think we will be changing it for the better. Parents love it, kids love it!

In doing that I have also been nominated to a P.A.C chair and Parent Liaison. (Parental Advisory Committee) with the school board. This is another thing I love!!! I think Jon likes it too. I hear about problems, proposed solutions, new schools, test scores, oh so much. I enjoy this, because we get to be apart of the decision process, and it gives me a heads up to problems that I might not be aware of with out this spot.

Jon has started checking into after residency jobs. We are pretty nervous and excited but both ready to know where we are going. One thing I will say is, I am super proud of Jon.He has worked so long to get here. This path has truely been a tough and long one but he stuck with it, and we are all so proud!  Recruiters are trying to get him to come interview for positions. I believe we will have some traveling ahead...

Addison has started reading a few words! She has been bugging me about reading for so long. I am so proud of her. We have been reading the Tree house Series. (thanks to Mollie and Yaya) and I think it has only made her more anxious about reading. She wants to know what happens and she does NOT want to wait till the next night to find out!! As we read, I try to let her read the words I know she can. We do flash cards of the words shes learning at school and a few extra. I think she is going to be my reader in the group.

Sophia is, well Sophia! That girl has a fire about her that wears me OUT! I pray constantly that her fire will be for something good, if we help her direct it. She has so much determination, I would hate for anyone to get in her way. She is learning her letters and numbers, she counts to 15 and writes the SOP to her name. She also identifies about ten of the letters in the alphabet. This girl is going to always keep her mommy and daddy on their toes.

Talon is into everything, from climbing trees, to hunting zombies to loving his sisters (aka picking on them) he is doing it all. I love his energy. He is so full of happiness and life, so ready to do whatever. He wants to be going ALL the time. He even wears his shoes to bed. ( yes its a fight every night)
He can count to 7 before he gets distracted, and he has no idea about naming letters, except X for some reason....

That's all I can think of for now......I am sure there is more! Please forgive errors, its 1:00am!!!
