My New Eating Habits

Jon informed me that I had to post today, since I have posted the last three weeks.........

So I thought I would tell everyone about the things that Jon and I are having to deal with, my eating habits.

The first few months, I could not eat anything. I remember at one point telling Jon, that if I hear one person tell me I should enjoy food now, that I would scream!!!!! Needless to say food and I are not getting along. However, I have finally started having cravings. Those include three things: fruit, chicken and veggies.

Our meals lately might be a piece of chicken and fresh pineapple. I am so lucky that Jon doesn't mind it, he eats anything as long as he doesn't have to fix it! Which is great, that means I can fix what I am craving and he will be so sweet and still love it. I have tried a few sweets, but what usually happens is I take one bite and give Jon the rest. (He doesnt mind that either.........)

My biggest craving though has been peas. And I mean fresh peas! I have been to every produce stand I can find. NO PEAS! I ask people where I can find them and there are a couple of responses: "at the grocery store," "in a can," and finally my all time favorite is when a farmer told me that "they don't grow peas because all the women went to work and stopped cooking." I gave up gracefully after that one. The only tough thing about it, is that I still want them!!!! I think about peas all the time. WHAT DO YOU DO? You call your mom and sis in law! They actually get together and figure out a way to get me some, isn't that wonderful! So I should be able to get over that horrible craving soon..........

Here are a couple of pictures: two are of Frank in the tank, this picture is for Lily and Andrea. And the other is to show everyone what I look like at 15 weeks and 4 days pregnant.

Love

Hannah

  1. Hey! Have you tried a farmers market? They are usually open on Saturdays with nice fresh produce, like this one in Kansas City. It looks like a big one. http://www.thecitymarket.org/farmersmarket.html

It's strange that no one has peas! Although I have to admit that I always get them from a can. :)

  2. Yeah, we are going to the large market on Wednesday and/or next Saturday in search of peas! Hopefully they'll have some! Peas are not the only thing... I've seen a lot of Orange Fanta around here lately. :P
