I only have a few minutes before it is time to go back and feed our little babies. So I thought I would do a quick update. We are all doing well. The babies are starting to gain weight, which makes us all excited! We are still planning on coming home on Tuesday. I am personally excited about going home and getting into our own little routine. I can't wait to have all of our little ones under one roof. (Look out, I will be changing my mind this time next week...)
We are all ready starting to see some personality in our little babies. Little Talon is such a little Jon. And Sophia is a good healthy mixture. Just watch her little expressions as she sleeps and you will see a little of both of us.
We are getting to know a few people around the hospital. I think the cafeteria ladies are pretty sure we are living here. And we are really learning A LOT about our fellow NICU parents. Jon and I usually go in and hang out with out little ones. We really do not talk a whole bunch to anyone except our own nurse. ( I mean, you never know what others are dealing with, and I know personally I do not always want to talk. However I do miss one family who left us a few days ago. We actually talked to them and they were kinda like us, just doing their thing with their babies....) But not everyone lives by our principle and they tell EVERYONE their story. So we feel like we know them, and we have not even talked to them. Strange, huh?
Oh and today we set off the "Stealing A BABY" alarm! Funny stuff..but I grabbed the dirty baby clothes in the bottom of the crib and we left out to grab lunch. So we left got in the car and drove away. As Jon parked our phones started going crazy! I answered and it was our nurse. She asked, "Did you grab the clothes?" I said, "Yes, is that ok?" She then asked me to look through them and see if Sophia's sensor was in it! IT WAS!!! So the alarm was going off since we left! HA! I felt so bad, but it was not my fault, at least that is what Jon said. So we got back in the car and took it back! Fun Day!
We hope everyone is having a great New Years Day!
(I am not sure Jon or I realize it is a holiday.)
We have pictures on Jon's phone, but those have not been emailed to me so you will have to wait until later for those.)
