We Made It!

There were times I did not think I was going to make it. I even told Nana that I might just see her there, I was going to walk. She laughed it said it might be a peaceful walk.

We left Saturday morning with no problems! We even made great time!! Until, a funny noise happened and the lights in the car started acting crazy and it started smoking. I was actually on the phone with Jon when it happened. So we pulled over and got out and checked it out. Jon wanted to know exactly where the smoke was coming from so I sent him this picture. About that time a state trooper pulled up. He was very nice and very helpful! So he called for a tow truck to come get us which was free with our AAA card!! The tow truck driver was very nice as well he even helped us unload our things at a hotel. Nana and I got everything settled in the room and waited for Jon to arrive. Addison and I even had time to check out the swimming pool! So with the promise of getting our car fixed and back on the road by Sunday we waited.....and waited....and waited....We were not able to leave till Monday! We were two hotel nights and a plane ticket off schedule! So this little trip was starting to look like it could not get any WORSE! Until it did!!! Nana and I made our way to Toledo. Once we got there I realized between the men out front and the men inside that we could NOT stay at the place we had made reservations at!! So we left in a hurry and made our way to a McDonald's so I could frantically find us a place to stay....I did but it is twice as much as the other place. So needless to say this trip turned out pretty expensive. Last night I got everyone asleep, which is all in one room. And told Jon I was so right that this was a bad idea. He so sweetly told me how happy he is to have his family with him! So I guess we will see how the month goes! .
