Baby Update

I am trying to keep updates about the babies too... so I thought I would post about our doc appointment yesterday. Every time we visit the doctor we have an ultrasound. I enjoy seeing the babies and finding out that everything is ok....but after a while it gets a little old. Like really, lets go! And it takes longer every time!

But anyway everything was great! Baby A (girl) was 1 pound and 10 oz. And Baby B (Boy) was 1 pound and 8 ounces. So this week the girl is bigger than the boy...last week he was bigger.

I have been telling Jon I feel like I am 30 weeks pregnant not 24.3 weeks pregnant. He usually makes fun of me and then says yes, you probably do feel like that. So the doc measured me for size and haha I measured 30 weeks!!! That makes me feel a little better about how tired and sore I am all the time! I kept telling myself, it is too early to feel this exhausted, or too early to hurt this much! But if I were a singleton momma then I would be 30 weeks! And about 30 weeks things start to feel that way. So I don't feel completely psycho. Jon is still pretty sure that I am but, that's ok...It also makes me feel better about what people say about how I look. So many people find out you are expecting twins and say you look so small. Which is a good bad thing for a pregnant momma. Good, because hey maybe they are saying I am not gaining extra baby weight. Bad because what if my babies are too small???? So, I look HUGE in mommy world. But please don't say that either...I would rather you keep up with the, "you look small."

I will start going back to see the doctor every two weeks. I am so excited about this!!NOT!!! I feel like I go enough with every four weeks. So with this I am going to be practically living with the doctor, she must really like me! HA! But so far I am thankful that this pregnancy has been pretty smooth compared to Addison's pregnancy. I am keeping my fingers crossed and praying hard that it stays that way! If I can get through this with out the headaches and swelling then I will consider myself blessed even more.

We can not wait to meet our little babies! We know Addison can not wait either!

  1. How exciting! I know you must be getting really sick of driving to the dr! And I can't tell you anything that would help that, cause the only thing that can be said is from your Doctor! So I will pray that in about 7 - 8 weeks she will say "well looks like a good day to have TWINS! Their size is good and you are already dilated 8 cent!" Haha! I am praying for you girl! You're family has so many things to look forward too! Especially the girls and I coming up there next week! Oh the things we will do!!!!!! Love you silly! XOXO to the babies from their Auntie A!

  3. P.S. you might want to think about changing the blog format. Since you will be going from a Matlock Clan to a Matlock Zoo! Plus Baby A and Baby B might get a little jealous that their pretty faces aren't up at the top! LOL! You know you love all my ideas!!! LOVE YOU

  4. You're so funny, and I never enjoyed pregnancy so I feel your pain, well, not exactly since it was never two babies but you know what I mean!! Sorry you'll have to visit the doctor so often, I know that's not fun having to wait in the waiting room etc. Hope the weeks fly by for you & you'll get to finally meet them! I can't wait to hear what their names are! :)

  5. Andrea You are so funny! I am not sure if you have talked to me lately, but if you have you should have heard my zoo in the background! We are already wild animals around here! I do need to change the background....soon! But I may just wait and change it when they get here so I can put thier sweet faces up there....can you believe there are going to be two???
Chynna, I DO NOT like being pregnant...in fact when I hear women say they like being pregnant I want to take them to a doc and get them checked out....but I think most women look at me when I say I hate it and and think that I am crazy! So I am glad I am not the only one....we are stuck on names, if you have any good ideas feel free to share! We are not traditional people and boys names are so HARD!!! So I cant wait to know thier names either...as for now they are Jason and Elle. Thanks to Lily, that is what she thinks we should call them!
