We have had an eventful YEAR at the Matlock house, but really an eventful week. Is it Thursday, really?? So lets go through the week....I am writing about this so I will look back and remember how wonderful pregnancy is, or isn't.
Saturday....we had a wonderful baby shower!
Sunday....started having contractions...thought don't panic. Just rest...
Monday....will they go away already?? So we call the Doctor.
Monday night she keeps me at the hospital to watch me...Sometimes even Mommas need a babysitter.
Tuesday....came home.
Wednesday...going to Bham, for my early Thursday Morning appointment..
Thursday....get up run to doctor office. Met another twin mommy who is due the same week I am!! That was the best part of my day! She knew exactly what I was going through, and I for her. We both had our glucose test and she went first. She did not pass and that made me worry that I would not either! And that is what happened, they stuck me and the lady kept asking me, are you sure that you did not eat? I thought that was odd....most people believe me when I tell them something. I told her three times I am sure, but I could eat now I am starving. Then she told me the news, I failed...so I have to go back on Monday and drink that nasty stuff again and wait three hours while they stick me 3 times! HORRIBLE!!! She also told me my Iron was low too...this part was not a shocker...
So moral of the story is "if it can go wrong, it will" I have been so happy this pregnancy. It has been so much easier than my last. So if I can get all of this under control, it will still be good. I love my babies, but getting them here is rough!
I love the little picture at the top! We are praying HARD down south that the rest of the pregnancy goes as smoothly as possible! Mommies are just not allowed time off! :-) Know we are always here to take Miss Addison off your hands, :-D! Love you!
ReplyDeleteLove the picture. :) Sorry you have had a rough week. :( Maybe you will pass the 3 hour test, even though it is zero fun to have to do. Had you had any water before the test? Mine was up b/c I was slightly dehydrated. Be sure to drink plenty with your other test! If you need help with Addison, or anything else, let me know! Love ya!
ReplyDeleteYAY! Corri, I am so gonna try that! I do not want to fail the second round...that will mean big changes..which yes I might need. But still what pregnant lady wants to skip the sweets? I am going to be drinking the water!
